What Makes NOSTOS Notable

  • 01 A real import section in suburban Atlanta. Not a locked case with three titles. A dedicated collection of Japanese and international releases, Super Famicom, PC Engine, Famicom Disc System, Neo Geo, Mega Drive, in a community that grew up with this hardware and is rarely stocked for it.
  • 02 Transparent pricing at the counter. Trade-in offers are pulled against live market data in front of the customer. An answer to the lowball culture that defines most game-store trade-ins.
  • 03 A working repair bench. Hardware that most shops would discard, recapped, restored, and tested, then resold instead of landfilled. A preservation story, not just a retail one.
  • 04 Owner-operated, by design. One location, one owner, no franchise plan. Profits reinvested locally in inventory and better trade-in offers. NOSTOS will never be sold to or owned by private equity.
  • 05 Built for Gwinnett, specifically. Tied to the Buford Highway corridor and one of Georgia's most culturally diverse populations. Not imported from elsewhere, not optimized for a national audience.

In Will's Words

"Most stores wouldn't bother labeling and pricing imports properly, so they sit unsold. We built a process so they get found and played."
"Bring something in and we pull our buy prices in front of you. You see what we'll offer. You take cash or store credit. No mystery, no lowball."
"NOSTOS is built for the Northside. Not imported from elsewhere, not optimized for a national audience. Built here, for here."

About the Owner

NOSTOS is owned and operated by Will, a lifelong collector with hands-on expertise in retro game authentication, Japanese hardware, and CRT restoration. He performs capacitor restoration on PC Engine, Famicom, and Super Famicom hardware, and maintains a reference library of verified authentic hardware and software for comparison grading. On the apparel side, he grades vintage clothing using tag forensics, screen-print aging, and construction analysis. All buy, sell, and trade pricing is run against current market data rather than guesswork.
