ABOUT NOSTOS
A retro video game and vintage shop in Duluth, GA that feels more like a boutique than a GameStop.
NOSTOS is a retro video game and vintage store in Duluth, Georgia, the kind of store Gwinnett County has needed for a long time. Every item is graded, priced transparently against live market data, and displayed like it matters. Because it does. We carry imports and Japanese exclusives that most US stores don't stock: Super Famicom, PC Engine, Famicom Disc System, Neo Geo, and more. We repair hardware. We do trade-ins the right way: live pricing on the counter, no guessing, no lowballing. If you grew up with a controller in your hand, wherever in the world that was, you'll find something here.
The store is a third place. Not a corporate counter, and not a gatekeeping one. A parent can walk in without being talked down to, a kid can spend twelve dollars and leave with something real, and a collector can find a Famicom Disc System sitting where it should be, under glass, with the price on the card.
This stretch of Buford Highway is the reason NOSTOS is here. From Atlanta on up through Duluth it reads as one long mini road trip, and the international corridor it runs through is the same one the shelves reflect. Gwinnett is home.
NOSTOS is built to stay one store. Efficient enough to put the attention on the floor and the people standing on it, rather than on a second location or on overhead. That is a deliberate ceiling, not a stage we are waiting to grow out of.
We carry video games, curated, graded, and priced transparently. We carry vintage finds, nostalgic media, and hardware we repair in house. Things that do not turn up on Etsy or in an algorithm feed. Something for the collector, and something for the person who has not held a controller in fifteen years.
The trade-in desk is simple. Check the sell page before you come in and the offer comes back first, so there is no awkward negotiation waiting for you. Or bring it to the counter and we pull our buy prices in front of you. Cash or store credit. No appointments. No surprises.
None of this asks you to take our word for it. The guides library holds more than 180 working documents written from this bench, on authentication, board-level repair, and what the market actually pays.
That is the store we wanted to walk into. Now it exists. And it stays this way. NOSTOS will never be sold to or owned by private equity.
Come Home.
What NOSTOS Is
NOSTOS is an independent retro video game shop and vintage apparel boutique. The online store is open now at nostos.market, shipping daily across the United States and Canada. The physical storefront at 3940 Buford Hwy Suite B110, Duluth, GA 30096 is open to foot traffic.
Not a chain. Not a franchise. Not a booth at an antique mall. A dedicated, owner-operated shop built from the ground up for the specific taste of Gwinnett County's collector community, one of the most culturally diverse in the Southeast.
Every item you see is the actual item, photographed and graded by one person, not a stock photo standing in for a shelf full of copies. When you buy from NOSTOS, you are buying from someone who can tell you exactly what you are getting, and who answers your email. You are not buying from a warehouse.

Affiliations & Trademarks
NOSTOS is an independent, secondhand retailer. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or authorized by Nintendo, Sony, Microsoft, Sega, SNK, NEC, Atari, or any other game publisher, console manufacturer, or apparel brand. All trademarks and brand names referenced on this site (game titles, console names, publisher logos) are the property of their respective owners and are used only to identify the secondhand items we sell. Items are sold in their original used condition; we do not produce, license, or manufacture new versions of any branded product.
Who Runs It
NOSTOS is independently owned and operated. Every item on the floor is authenticated, graded, and priced by the same bench that repairs the hardware, so the person who tested it is the person who wrote the condition note.
The bench authenticates domestic and Japanese cartridges by board inspection, label dating, and reproduction detection. It repairs and mods controllers and handhelds in house, stick drift included. Console recapping is on the near-term roadmap, and dedicated repair help is planned to grow that side of the bench.
On the apparel side, vintage clothing is graded by tag forensics, screen print aging, and construction analysis, including single-stitch dating, Champion tag evolution, and deadstock identification.
All buy/sell/trade pricing is run against current market data and eBay completed sales - not intuition, not guesswork, not lowball offers dressed up as market rates.
The Inventory Philosophy
NOSTOS carries items that are worth carrying. That means verified authentic hardware and software, condition-graded and priced honestly. Japanese imports - Famicom, Super Famicom, PC Engine, Neo Geo AES and MVS, WonderSwan - alongside domestic classics. Vintage apparel selected for era accuracy, construction quality, and cultural relevance.
What NOSTOS does not carry: Funko Pops. Pokemon slabs as financial instruments. Modern remakes misrepresented as originals. Fast fashion pretending to be vintage. Mass-market collector bait.
Why Gwinnett
Gwinnett County - and Duluth specifically - has one of the most diverse, culturally rich populations in Georgia. A large part of this community grew up with Japanese and Korean gaming hardware, the consoles and software that most American stores have never bothered to stock. The demand for authentic import hardware, Japanese-market software, and culturally specific vintage apparel is real and under-served by the current local retail landscape.
NOSTOS is built for the Northside. Not imported from elsewhere, not optimized for a national audience. Built here, for here.
